Obituary of Anastasia Thoms

THOMS, Anastasia

Nee Iossifidis

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Anastasia on September 12, 2022 at the young age of 50. She passed peacefully surrounded by family and cherished friends. Anna lived a great life with Rob, her best friend and husband of 26 years. Anna is survived by her loving parents Christos and Angela. And there was no one she loved more than her two beautiful children, Katarina (Brayden), and Andrew (Shannon). They were her world, and she was so proud of them. Not only for their accomplishments, but for the people they have become. Her bright smile and spirit will live on through her kids as you can see so much of her in them. Anna is also survived by her brother, Jim (Krista), her nephew, Nicholas, and her niece, Alexia (Noah). She loved spending time with her close friends and has made so many great memories over the years. Anyone that has met Anna, either through school, work, or at a hockey arena, has been touched by her infectious smile and her kind, loving nature. She was always so positive and always saw the best in people. Anna fought a long four-year battle with breast cancer and was so unbelievably strong through it all. Despite the pain she had to endure, she rarely complained. In true Anna fashion, she was always more worried about her family than herself. She has taught us all to be better people, and to not let the little things bother us, but rather focus our energy on the more important things in life. Anastasia was very proud of her Greek culture, and it showed in her amazing cooking abilities. Anyone that has attended one of her many gatherings will agree there was always an abundance of great food. Although taken much too soon, Anna loved life and lived a great one.

A special thank you to the compassionate care she received by the many nurses and doctors at Windsor Regional - Met Campus, and to the in-home care providers that made Anna feel comfortable.

Cremation has taken place.
