Obituary of Remo Scrignaro
It is with extreme sadness and deep love that we announce the passing of Remo Scrignaro, on July 23, 2022, at the age of 89. His final days were spent among family and friends in the care of the loving staff of Brouilette Manor. He will be reunited with his wife Julie Scrignaro (nee Astolfi) and brother Ettore Scrignaro. Remo was a most beloved father to Lora (Eddie) Piccinin, Dino (the late Angela) Scrignaro and Lissa (Shawn) McGovern. Remo was blessed with grandchildren and was a cherished Nonno to Daniela, Matthew, Carlo, Roberto, Vanessa, Jonathan and Connor. He will be remembered fondly by a large extended family of in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. Those who had the honor of knowing Remo, knew him as a kind and gentle man with a generous heart. A man who had a passion for singing and a talent for dancing! Remo immigrated to Canada at the age of 18 and began work as an employee of Keystone Construction. He went on to work for 30 years with the Windsor Utilities Company as Foreman and was considered hard-working and dedicated. Remo was a life-long member of the Fogolar Furlan Club of Windsor. Visitation will be held at the Victoria Greenlawn Funeral Home (1525 Hwy #3 Oldcastle on N0R 1L0 519-969-3939) on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday, July 28, 2022 from 10:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
